I don't really know a lot about Andreas Hofer. My father was a confirmed monarchist. He was Kaiserjäger under Emperor Franz Josef. He was more for the monarchy; people were a bit nostalgic, I think. We heard certain things about Andreas Hofer but not really a lot, not even in school. Not really. That he was a freedom fighter and fought for Tyrol and so on. But otherwise we didn't hear much about him in school. He wasn't even particularly popular. The schools taught us more about the monarchy. There was more about the Emperor, the followers of the Emperor and so on... My father was very loyal to the Emperor.
